Episode 2: We are the Future

Ezekiel: Hope Breaker and Marvelous are on location and have finished surveying Icarus Metro and ready to move in.

Taharqa nods.

Ezekiel: Mission is a go. Good luck gentlemen

Hope Breaker: Where is your uniform?

Marvelous: There going to be expecting heroes to strike. They won't be expecting a private investigator to be gathering intel on the inside.

Hope Breaker: Guess this is where we part ways.

Marvelous: I suppose so. Be safe and don't be hasty.

Hope Breaker: You as well...

Hope breaker begins to mumble

Hope Breaker: (mockingly) Don't be hasty... I'll have this over and done with by the time he finishes asking his questions.

Taharqa : Don't get tunnel vision. We just need to know what they are up to. This doesn't have to turn into a battle.

Hope Breaker looks slightly frustrated before utilizing his wraith form turning invisible.

Hope Breaker comes across Devana Kacela who is on patrol.

Without a moment of hesitation he goes intangible and possess Devana causing her to pass out due to his soul draining ability.

Hope Breaker: That's one down.

A drone is seen.

Taharqa: What are you thinking?

Hope Breaker: You trusted us on this mission let me work.

Taharqa: You're all we had for this mission. Don't get that confused.

Hope Breaker: Well if we're your only hope how about you put some faith in us and get off our backs.

Hope Breaker then takes advantage of the moment and takes over Devanas body. Just then Josiah Wright appears.

Devana (hope breaker): Perfect timing. I think something is up.

Josiah: What do you mean?

Devana (Hope Breaker): I can show you better than I can tell you. Follow me

Hope Breaker inside of Devana's body leads Josiah to a secluded area utilizing his soul chains.

Josiah: Devana...What are you doing?

Josiah isn't alarmed when the ability is activated but this moment of hesitation allows for (Hope Breaker) to catch Josiah off guard chaining up leaving him wide open for a series of blows that knocks him out.

Hope Breaker: All too easy and for good measure.

Hope Breaker leaves Devanas body now that the pair is knocked out and begins to drain Josiahs energy.

Hope Breaker: 2 down and because of them I'm even stronger. Honestly I don't understand why you're worried about these so called "Elites". if you ask me their a bunch of pushovers.

Marvelous: It's not about that.

We see Marvelous roaming the city getting more of an idea of what lies within.

Marvelous: Based on the briefing this team only shows up with a plan when they can gurantee it can succeed. So there is a strong possiblity that they know that some sort of response team is here. They are trying to provoke a response out of us. Out of Taharqa.

Hope Breaker: Fine if recon is what you want then recon is what you'll get.

Taharqa: ITS TOO LATE NOW!!! You've already....

Ezekiel: Sir?

Taharqa exhausted and at his limit with all the stress slams his fist on the table. before falling down to the ground.

Ezekiel: MEDIC!!!!

Taharqa: I'm fine

Ezekiel: You need to rest.

Ezekiel giving him a stern look. Taharqa relents.

Taharqa: Fine... Ezekiel will be taking point and...

Marvelous is seen in the crowd still on his comms ready to gather intel of what’s going on within the city and takes notice of a crowd gathering.

Marverlous: Something isn’t right. 

Ezekiel: What do you mean something isn't right.

Taharqa: No... you both need to get out of there now!

Marvelous: No, we need to know what’s going on here.

Taharqa: They must know Hope Breaker engaged with the enemy. If he’s making an appearance then he knows they’re under attack. He’s making his move. You need to leave now!!!!!

Marvelous arrives at the city center where Magnitude is speaking to the masses of Icarus Metro City, his face now on the various screens in the city as well.

Magnitude: It’s just as I told you… They fear us and conspire against us because  they know what your existence means for them. 

Magnitude says pointing at the crowd.

Magnitude: It means the end of society as they know it. It means an end to the status quo. AND TODAY they have made it known that they would kill every single one of us to stop evolution… to stop… You.

Magnitude: Today they came to your home and attacked us unprovoked thinking that we would cower in fear, thinking that we would shrink into the shadows, that we’d run away. But they have only fanned the flames of the fire they started. Whether elemental or paranormal today we are one, we are the next step, we are evolution, we are the future, who will rise up for the sake of freedom who will stand with me and take their rightful place as the gods of this world.

The crowd is elated shouting in unison completely drawn to the charisma of Magnitude all motivated and activated to do his bidding.

Marvelous in his civilian clothes looks in horror as a majority of the city almost in a trance chants

Crowd: WE ARE THE FUTURE!!! WE ARE THE FUTURE!!!!

Scene switches back to Pharaoh industries which shows Taharqa, Ezekiel once more at the main desk with both incendiary attack on screen as well as the most recent video feed from Icarus Metro. Taharqa is visible stressed. He is slowly overwhelmed by the lives lost and failed missions. 

Ezekiel: So…do we send a team to extract them. 

Taharqa: We can’t spare the resources. Besides they’re both former special forces, we just have to trust they can get out. 

Ezekiel: Reports coming in!!!  There are attacks in neighboring cities.

Taharqa: UGH!!!!! We need to contain this between Incendiary and now Magnitude  we don’t have the man power. If the abnormals, paranormals and the elementals band together we won’t be able to contain this. 

Shameka: We just got a ping from our deep space scans

Taharqa: Please tell me you found the others?

Shameka: We don’t know yet but the power readings we’re getting suggests it’s highly likely.

Taharqa: Keep me posted.
